Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Carevine ("Carevine," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Carevine mobile applications, website at carevine.app, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Carevine is a co-parenting and family coordination platform that helps parents manage schedules, custody, health records, messaging, documents, expenses, and related family information. Questions about this Policy can be sent to privacy@carevine.app.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account information. Name, email address, authentication credentials, profile details, and account preferences. Authentication is provided by Clerk.
- Family and child information. Child profiles, custody and parenting schedules, school terms, contacts, and related coordination details you or a linked co-parent enter.
- Health and care information. Health profiles, medications, medication logs, appointments, vaccinations, conditions, growth records, incidents, allergies, dietary needs, care-team details, and developmental or family-history notes you choose to store.
- Communications. Messages, attachments, journal entries, and, where you enable accountable calling, call metadata and recordings subject to consent and applicable law.
- Documents and media. Files, photos, albums, and document vault content you upload.
- Financial information. Expense records, payment requests, wallet activity, support-payment tracking, and billing or subscription status. Payment card details are processed by Stripe, Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat — we do not store full card numbers.
- Calendar integrations. If you connect Google or Microsoft calendars, we access calendar data you authorize for sync.
- Device and usage data. Device type, OS, app version, push notification tokens, approximate diagnostics, crash logs, and interaction data needed to operate and improve the Service.
- Waitlist and marketing. Email and related details if you join our waitlist or request updates on the website.
3. Children's information
Carevine is designed for use by adults (parents, guardians, and authorized caregivers). We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts. Information about children is entered and managed by adult users for caregiving and co-parenting purposes. You represent that you have the legal right to provide and process any child information you submit. If you believe we have collected information inappropriately, contact privacy@carevine.app and we will take appropriate steps.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Enable co-parent sharing, custody coordination, messaging, and related features
- Send transactional notifications (reminders, invites, security alerts)
- Process subscriptions and payments
- Generate court-record exports or mediation views you request or authorize
- Diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms
- Communicate about product updates when you opt in
- Comply with legal obligations
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- With linked co-parents and authorized users. Content you place in shared family spaces is visible to people you connect (for example, a co-parent, mediator with read-only access, or other roles you grant).
- Service providers. Vendors who help us run the Service under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, including hosting and database (e.g. Convex), authentication (Clerk), payments (Stripe, RevenueCat, Apple, Google), communications/calling infrastructure (e.g. Stream), email/push delivery, and analytics or crash reporting where enabled.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users or the Service.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Sensitive and health-related data
Health and care information you store is provided by you for family coordination. Carevine is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA unless we enter a separate written agreement saying so. Do not rely on Carevine as a medical record system of record for clinical care. Use clinical providers' systems for official medical records.
7. Call recording and accountable calling
If you enable accountable calling features, calls may be recorded or logged according to the in-app consent flow and applicable one-party or all-party consent laws. You are responsible for obtaining any required consents from other participants before recording.
8. Data retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account; some information may remain in backups or where retention is required by law or legitimate dispute-resolution needs (including court-record exports you generated).
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong password and protect access to your devices.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information
- Export certain data you provided
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Opt out of non-essential marketing emails
To exercise these rights, email privacy@carevine.app. You can also manage many preferences in the app (notifications, calendar connections, sharing settings). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
11. International users
The Service may be operated from servers in the United States or other countries. If you access the Service from elsewhere, you understand information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection laws than your own.
12. Third-party services
The Service may link to or integrate third-party services (app stores, calendar providers, payment processors). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review them.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
